On the Future of Greater Estero
The purpose of the Education Council (EC) is to serve as the voice of the residents of greater Estero to improve the quality of educational programs and facilities. The EC seeks opportunities, offers solutions, challenges threats, and communicates reliable and accurate information to ECCL leadership and residents to make informed decisions and encourage community engagement on education issues.
The purpose of the Environment Council (EC) is to serve as the voice of the residents of greater Estero to improve environmental quality. Fighting for what’s right and striving to right what’s wrong, it seeks opportunities, offers solutions, challenges threats, and monitors local, county, and state government environment performance. It communicates reliable and accurate information to ECCL leadership and residents to make informed decisions and encourage community engagement.
Collaborating with local, state, and national organizations and other conservation organizations, the ECC will be active in many issues that affect greater Estero’s environment, including but not limited to:
- Improved water quality
- Improved air quality
- Mitigating the effects of climate warming
Our purpose is to support the Chief Communication Officer to inform, educate, and enable residents to act upon that information. The ECCL communicates through monthly member meetings, unique research, and reporting, utilizing a robust mailing list and social media, including:
- The Greater Estero Community Report
- Meetings with representatives from local government, speakers, and Committee and Council reports
- Committee Reports
- Membership meeting summaries
- Event notifications
- Calls to action, and
- Participating in community events and meetings
The Committee’s purpose is to support the Chief Financial Officer in setting ECCL’s financial policy and direction and provide strategic recommendations to the president and Chief Operating Officer based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
The Committee Member supports the Chief Membership Officer (CMO) in overseeing member-related functions. The Member is responsible for assisting the CMO in recruiting company/organization members, problem-solving, and retaining members. Assists the CMO to develop relationships with the leadership of Estero area resident communities and for-profit and not-for-profit companies/organizations to promote ECCL’s value proposition and generate potential member leads.
